Outreach & Advocacy – The CAC advocates on behalf of its members when issues arise that affect our industry. Whether it’s health or trade policy, customs regulations or product definitions and labelling, the Association works with all levels of government and in partnership with other related industry associations to ensure that our members’ voice and position is heard.
We keep members informed on emerging hot topics and undertake a leadership and spokesperson role to effectively address collective industry issues. CAC develops and compiles timely Issue Briefs, which help members stay up-to-date on regulations and policies that impact industry stakeholders.

Proprietary Research –The CAC commissions an annual Coffee Drinking Study of Canada which provides members with invaluable and exclusive research. Top-line results are presented at the Annual Conference, while Patron members can access the entire report for more in-depth insights. A digital interface now allows Patrons to extract customized data from the results, and filter trended data from 2014-2016, making it even more useful and useable for your business.
Networking – Connect with and learn from others in the industry. Take an active role by joining the Board of Directors or one of our Committees (Membership; Media, Marketing & Communications; Government Relations; and Governance & Executive). Be sure to attend the National Conference, or if you want to get involved, volunteer to help us put it on. Membership is what you make it!
Education – As a trusted source of research and knowledge for the industry both in Canada and beyond, the CAC educates and engage members, consumers, government and the media about coffee and industry trends. Members also receive relevant Market Research updates and reports on key industry topics such as the environment, agricultural and origin issues.

Who Can Join?
Membership is open to all businesses and individuals participating in the Canadian coffee industry. Members include coffee roasters, retailers, importers and suppliers to the industry. CAC also offers a provisional membership (for one year only) to firms or individuals who are evaluating starting, but not currently engaged in a coffee business. We also welcome membership requests from other Associations, sole proprietorships, and even individuals who just love coffee!
