VAN
HOUTTE LAUNCHES FIRST EVER AT HOME SINGLE-CUP COFFEE BREWER
USING KEURIG(R) TECHNOLOGY IN CANADA CANADA NEWSWIRE 10/22
Van Houtte Inc. announced the launch of the Keurig B100
brewer, a home version of the revolutionary commercial
Keurig coffee brewing system that uses pre-measured, single-serve
K-Cups(R) to brew the perfect cup of coffee, one cup at
a time. Van Houtte is the first North American coffee
company to introduce this technology to the Canadian home
market and currently offers 21 Van Houtte blend coffees
and six Bigelow specialty teas in the K-Cup format.
"The new brewer is designed specifically for home
use and is therefore smaller and sleeker to fit nicely
on any size kitchen counter," said Joseph Audi, Marketing
Director, Van Houtte. Much like the commercial Keurig
brewing system, the Keurig B100 involves an easy two-step
process. To brew a cup of coffee or tea, a K-Cup is placed
in the brewer drawer and a button is pressed. Inside each
K-Cup is a pure paper filter with the ideal grind and
measure of Van Houtte coffee or Bigelow tea. It's sealed
air-tight to keep light and moisture out, and freshness
and aroma in. In less than a minute, the perfect cup of
coffee or tea is ready to be served.
